If you are looking for a destination with a protected and safe – as much as possible – environment, but also activities for children, then in the Cyclades you will find exactly what you are looking for. Family friendly islands, with easy access, lots of activities for children, beautiful beaches with clear and shallow waters are waiting to welcome you and your children.
Arm yourself with an appetite for endless dives in crystal clear waters, games in the fine sand, historical excursions to villages and settlements and photographic booty from group poses that will accompany you in the winter. All this, which is definitely an integral part of the daily agenda for ideal family vacations, you will find in these 3 islands of the Cyclades!

Naxos, the “Great” of the Cyclades
Naxos is ideal for your family holidays and your children will have the opportunity to get to know all the Cyclades on an island!
In addition to its size and the multitude of options it offers as the largest island in the Cyclades, it has endless sandy, organized beaches and some remarkable alternatives for evening entertainment. It is a destination that combines many possibilities, while its beautiful mountain villages, Apeiranthos and Filoti, are unique for your afternoon walks.
Next to Chora is the bustling Ag. George, with the golden sandy beach, while a few kilometers further are the organized beaches of Ag. Anna and Ag. Prokopis, with its thick sand and crystal clear waters. The beach of Plaka is suitable for older children, while in Agios Prokopis, pay attention to its icy waters.

And if you and your kids want something more organized for play, you can visit the water slide park and swimming pools. Where children will unwind and parents can relax right next to them on the sun loungers.
On the plus side, many hotels offer accommodation with all inclusive package and children’s activities which are in the “menu” of most hotels.
And the food in Naxos is top notch! For all tastes and all ages!
In Naxos there is also a General Hospital-Health Center on the main road from the port to the villages, opposite the grove of Elli, for those who want to feel safer in emergencies.
Paros, the island for all ages
The beautiful Cycladic island harmoniously combines (apart from intense nightlife) natural beauty, authentic experiences, gastronomy, activities, archeological sites, and even “mountainous” villages.
Paros welcomes many families every year, as it has some of the most ideal beaches for families with young children.
You can visit the Environmental and Cultural Park of Paros, located in Naoussa and will excite you with the alternative activities it offers.

Definitely have to tour the alleys of Naoussa on foot or by bike, you can visit the Park with Butterflies but also take a walk in the museums of the island.
Most of its 30 or so beaches have golden sands and the waters deepen very smoothly, allowing safe play and swimming for small holidaymakers – although you may find the waters quite cold.
Agios Prokopios is ideal, with kilometers of thick sandy beach, crystal clear waters and cedars for shade, while in Plaka, in a similar setting, you will be protected from the meltemia. Behind the beach of Ai Prokopi you will find family taverns, as well as waterpark, whose water slides will be loved by children.
Another beach ideal for families is Aliki. It is not so crowded and is ideal for children. It has trees everywhere that offer a natural cool shade after the bath.
In Paros, the Paros Health Center is open 24 hours a day, located in the center of Parikia (100 meters from the port) and also, regional clinics throughout the island that operate in the morning, for those who want to feel safer in emergencies.
Syros, the “lordess” of the Cyclades
Around the middle of the Cyclades, Syros “hosts” the capital of the complex.
Hermoupolis is a very normal (and very charming) city that guarantees all the amenities, facilities and entertainment services that you and your children will need, in an environment of neoclassical architecture and nobility.
Be sure to take a walk in the Upper Town with your children if you want to get to know the island’s aesthetics with its small alleys and white houses. Definitely dedicate one of your afternoons to the Markos Vamvakaris Museum, located in Ano Poli.
Many musical and theatrical events are organized in the theaters and outdoor areas, while the beaches may not be famous for their picturesqueness, but there are some that will satisfy the families.

Prefer Azolimnos, an organized beach with sand, taverns and cafés in the homonymous settlement 11 km from Ermoupolis, the quiet beach in the picturesque fishing village of Kini. The organized beaches of Galissas, and Komitos in the southwestern part of Syros. Of course there are other beaches organized, some closer to Ermoupolis and others farther away, which you will not find difficult to find.
Another very positive element in Syros is that it is not characterized by its long distances. Within 20 minutes you can go from Ermoupolis, which is the center of the island to its farthest beaches.
